Information for Kinfolkology x Community Workshop Hosts

How many people attend Kinfolkology x Community workshops?

Kinfolkology x Community workshops are capped at 50 attendees, and registration is required beforehand.

When do Kinfolkology x Community workshops take place?

Kinfolkology x Community workshops usually convene on Saturdays or Sundays. If it is necessary for a workshop to take place during the work week, we prefer to convene in the evening (after 5 pm).

What are the requirements in terms of space?

Workshop venues must be able to comfortably accommodate and provide seating for up to fifty people. Kinfolkology x Community workshops often include breakout groups, but breakout groups are not a necessary component of all workshops. Kinfolkology x Community workshop venues must be accessible to individuals with disabilities.

What about food?

Breaking bread together is a key component of Kinfolkology x Community workshops, but we are flexible in terms of where the food comes from. We are happy to work with in-house catering. Alternatively, we can handle the catering, meaning hire vendors unaffiliated with the hosting venue.

What, besides physical space, are workshop host venues asked to provide?

Kinfolkology x Community workshop venues must be able to provide both audio and visual equipment. This includes at least one microphone as well as a projection screen/monitor.
